J’Adorn Designs Partners with The Big Fake Wedding

BFW_promo8

We are pleased to announce that J’Adorn Designs has been hand selected to be a vendor for the Big Fake Wedding’s event in Baltimore, MD, on July 23rd, 2015. BFW events take place across the country and we are thrilled to have been hand selected for their production in Baltimore.

For those unfamiliar with the event, The Big Fake Wedding is a bridal show alternative in the form of a big, fake wedding, which gives brides-and-grooms-to-be the unique opportunity to see the work of local wedding vendors in action. There is a ceremony, reception, catered meal, and Tunnel of Love where guests get to meet and collect goodies from participating vendors. J’Adorn Designs will be the official jeweler of the event, providing jewelry for the bride and her bridesmaids.

While our specific jewelry designs for the Baltimore BFW will remain a secret until the event’s big reveal, here’s a little teaser of the styling you can expect to see from those of us putting together the details:

Will you be one of the “wedding guests” in attendance? Leave us a comment and we’ll look for you in the Tunnel of Love!

Custom Pieces & Christmas Gifts

Hi friends!

How are you all doing? Excited for Christmas? Worn out already? Frantically trying to tie up loose ends?

I’m a mix of all of those emotions personally, but I’m not letting it stop me from getting lots of stuff done! Since the holiday party (photos coming soon!) I’ve had a lot of orders, so I’ve been a busy little bee in the workshop for the past few weeks. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the pieces I’ve been working on:

This piece is a custom variation on the Earthy Fabrics Necklace. Instead of the navy blue polka dot beads, I used a paisley print. I think it gives the piece a completely different feel, even though the change is so small.

This necklace is a re-worked version of the Make a Statement Necklace. (It’s not in the shop yet, but you can see the original in the Autumn 2012 Lookbook here.) Dustin’s super-fashionable grandmother Tutu came up with the custom design for this piece when she saw the original in person. I think it’s a great look for her – mature and refined, but still very trendy. I can’t wait to see the look on her face when she opens it!

Of course, one of the best parts of my job is seeing people’s reactions when they receive their order from J’Adorn Designs. I’ve been hand-delivering some items locally and savoring the excitement each time!

And the ever-lovely Melissa who was so excited to see her customized version of the Micro Braid Necklace in Cherry with Pearl Accents

Wishing you all peace & joy these next few weeks!
