This season has us reflecting on the past year. And, what a great year its been! We had so many opportunities to collaborate with other local creatives.
Scroll on for a look back at five of our very favorite editorial collaborations from 2018 with a style tip to take away from each one!
(also, be sure to follow the links to get to the full-posts of any of these glimpses that catch your eye!)
This editorial shoot was like something right out of a (midsummer night’s) dream. And we never wanted to wake up from it!
The style elements for this look centered on the marriage of vintage and modern. Our jewelry added lovely flourishes of botanical and feminine details amidst an industrial setting.
Initially, Photographer Katherine Callahan dreamed up this Modern Much Ado About Nothing wedding style idea after she rescued a beautiful edition of Shakespeare’s works from a garage sale. (And we’ve got a beautiful photo of the book in our original post.)
Inspired by the juxtaposition of elements from this shoot, our Style Tip Takeaway is:
Add delicate botanical details to soften a harder industrial setting
This was quite possibly our CUTEST collaboration of 2018.
The style elements for this bridal style emphasized the warmest tones, crowned by the bride’s red hair and rose gold accessories. And the soft pink and white color palette was the perfect accent. (But did you even notice it next to the baby goats?)
We learned in 2018 that ROSE GOLD is here to stay.
What may have started as a trend is now firmly planted in our hearts. And this year, we were thrilled to add the warm metal color to our selection of hair adornments.
Our rose gold hairpin with freshwater pearls and paper millinery flower was quintessential to this look!
This collaboration was featured earlier this year on the Annapolis Wedding Blog. Of course, we felt very honored to be in the mix of local vendors and artisans… and baby goats!
Inspired by the warmth and pure JOY of this collaboration, our Style Tip Takeaway is:
Accent your complexion with your accessories!
(*no goats were harmed in the making of this editorial… just snuggled a whole bunch!)
Featured by Baltimore Bride, this bachelorette party collaboration showcases the best of 2018’s fashion trends in a love letter to the city of Baltimore.
The style elements for this collaboration centered on a youthful exploration of Baltimore. The bridal party chose jumpers over dresses for their traipsing about the city – a practical choice for summer on the Chesapeake Bay.
However, one of our favorite (& most unique) features of this collaboration is that they used our (custom made) Pink Druzy Ring as an alternative to the traditional diamond engagement ring.
Bright colors, playful styles and ALL THE ROMPERS! This feature is definitely one for all you fashion lovers. If you need a winter dose of summer style, be sure to check out our original post for all the stunning shots.
Inspired by the fun, laughter and CONFIDENCE this collaboration exuded, our Style Tip Takeaway is:
The bride doesn’t have to wear white to stand out at her bachelorette party (…and also, #rompers4lyfe)
We’ve mentioned that in 2018 we saw a growing demand for hair adornments (a trend we don’t see fading away any time soon), and the delicate floral focus of this collaboration called for our Dusty Blue and Opal Bridal Headpiece.
It’s no surprise that the style elements for this look centered on the early spring bloom of the cherry blossoms in our native state of Maryland. From the bride’s floral inspired accessories to the botanical lace of her dusty blue wedding dress, it’s all about the flowers!
Certainly, when floral elements take center stage, there’s no need to over-style. We love how the little details enhance the natural beauty captured by these photos.
These pastels and petals have us swooning as we eagerly await Spring’s return.
Keep an eye out for hair adornments to make a big impact in 2019 (and beyond). And, mark our words, this won’t just be bridal trend!
Inspired by the soft and delicate features of this collaboration, our Style Tip Takeaway is:
Take advantage of your hair vine’s flexibility to help it stand out (and up) from your thick hair
Finally, it may be the middle of winter, but we’re all about the warm look of this styled boho bachelorette party! It was featured on The Mid-Atlantic Bride.
Laid back and easy, this glamping inspired editorial made us want to pitch a tent, kick off our shoes and relax. Also, we LOVED the Blue Photo Bus. We’ll take one for our next bash, please!
In this style feature, our nature-inspired jewelry enhances the hippie chic style. Skip on over to the original post for close ups on all the colorful gemstone goodness.
Inspired by the relaxed elegance of this collaboration, our Style Tip Takeaway is:
Even a casual weekend getaway to nature can be stylish. Also, jewelry makes the BEST bridesmaids’ gift!
So, that’s our 2018 Featured Collaborations Roundup!
We are looking back on this year with the warmest memories and looking forward to 2019 with aspirations for beauty and joy… and HAIR ADORNMENTS!
You know that’s our prediction for 2019 style.
What are yours? What would you like to see in the Jewelry Shop to style your new year?
